Dog Bed Sizing

Choosing the perfect dog bed

Your dog requires a bed where they can stretch out comfortably with their legs out in front. This page will help you measure your dog to find the perfect dog bed.

Measuring your dog

Get a flexible tape measure plus pen and paper. Now get your dog to stand up nicely, you may need some help holding him in position unless he’s very well trained! First measure from the nose to the backend where the tail begins. Secondly measure the front legs from the shoulder to the ground and then the same for his back legs.

Now add the three measurements together and minus half the length of the front legs and hey presto you
have the Sprawl Length!

Choosing a bed based on your dog’s Sprawl Length

Once you have the measurements of your dog by following the chart above you are ready to make a choice from our large selection of dog beds. Each product has a size guide showing the internal measurements of the bed so that you can find the perfect match for your dog.

Design and shape

When choosing a new bed for your pet you will need to consider your pets breed, age, any health problems like arthritis, how they like to sleep and more. Also it needs to be practical for you as well as fitting in to your homes coulour scheme. You’ll obviously be looking for a bed that fits your homes decoration and is easily cleanable and will last a long time.

If you have a dog that likes swimming  A waterproof bed might be your best option.  If your dog is getting older and requires more support you may wish to choose  a memory foam bed. Alternatively, you could just want to buy an extra cushion or blanket for  your pet’s current bed. Whatever you need, we have it, all at excellent prices. You need not go anywhere else.
